I have a passion for creating intimate and unforgettable elopement experiences across the Bay of Plenty.
You might be wondering how I started my journey in this line of work? Initially I was asked to officiate the marriage with my sister in law and her long term partner of over 20 years, What an honour right? I'm usually quite afraid of speaking in front of large groups but you don't grow if you stay in your comfort zone, so I took the leap and did it any way, was I scared? Hell yeah, was I worried about what people would think? Absolutely! But I had to put those thoughts aside and provide the ceremony they deserved.
I then had bookings coming in left, right and centre for upcoming weddings to officiate and became aware, thanks to my lovely hairdresser, that there was a massive gap in the market for elopement weddings. She sent me a message with this wonderful idea to create an elopement package with myself (the celebrant) and to find a photographer to work with, I don't just like sticking to the status quo so i did just that but then thought, what if I got a florist? Oh and a caterer? Ohhh and hair and make up? Wait, what if we provided accommodation too? Then I couldn't stop. I wanted to create an all inclusive package to provide the stress free service for elopement couples but at a price that wouldn't break the bank.
If you ask anyone who knows me, I love a great surprise, I love making people happy and I love seeing people in love. Gone are the days of needing to please the entire family with a massive $30k plus wedding, the day is all about two people, you and your forever partner! Trust me, I've been there, done that and to be fair you can still celebrate with everyone just not with the expense being on you, throw a post marriage celebration get together if that's what you wish when you get home, have a BYO and provide a few nibbles and happy days.
My goal in developing this business is to make your day special to you, however that may look. I specialise in crafting bespoke and unique elopement ceremonies that truly reflect your journey together.
